Dr. Felix J. Meigel joined Fresenius Medical Care in the Computational Medicine and Mathematical Modelling group in April 2024. Dr. Meigel earned his PhD in theoretical biophysics from the Max Planck Institute for Complex Systems in Dresden, Germany, and completed a Post-Doc at the Ludwig Maximilian University Munich. Dr. Meigel's research focused on mechanism-based modelling of transport and absorption dynamics in vascular systems, cellular signaling pathways, and information propagation in complex media. Dr. Meigel employs a wide range of methods, including stochastic process theory, and numerical multi-scale simulations, data analysis, and dynamical systems theory.
