Milena received her PhD in Mathematics from the University of Rome Tor Vergata (Italy) in 2006. She subsequently held post-doc positions for 5 years in 5 different universities around the world working in the area of partial differential equations, geometric analysis, mathematical analysis, phase transitions and applied mathematics. In September 2011 she joined Fresenius Medical Care (FME) to develop applied mathematical and machine learning models to be used in improving therapy options for patients in FME clinics. Since 2013 she has led and coordinated the activities related to the technical quality documentation for the development and certification of products as Medical Devices according to European legislation. She has been part of RRI since October 2024.
